At Mountain View Prep, we recognize that every child is an individual. For that reason, we have based our PK program around the whole child. Every child is different and their learning needs and levels are unique to them and them alone. Mountain View Prep offers a program that we can tailor to each individual child's needs.
We have taken the hands on, child centered Creative Curriculum and we have enhanced it with the following:
We use a phonics-based approach to learning to help develop good reading skills. Through games and other phonics materials, this program makes the connection between reading, spelling, literature and student writing.
The ZOO-Phonics program teaches the alphabet using a cast of animal characters and sounds, and a body movement that directly relates to the animal/letter, allowing children to utilize that alphabet immediately.
